Right click on the specific partition you wish to format, select format and then format it. Note: Wherever data is combined in folders on a drive / partition you wish to format, back all that up first and then format. That works for any partition including the primary partition. That should work and be safe to do.
First, right-click on the System C: drive and select "Resize/Move". Then, drag the system partition end into the unallocated space so to add it to the C: drive. And click "OK". And next, click "Execute Task" and "Apply" to execute the operations and extend the C drive. Step 3.

Alan Russell. You cannot combine space from two separate physical disks. You have two choices: 1. Replace your C drive (disk 0) with a larger disk, or. 2. Move some of the files from the C drive to a D drive on disk 1. Be very careful moving files from C to D; moving the wrong files can render your PC inoperable.
To shrink a volume on Windows, start by pressing Win + R to open Windows Run. Then, enter compmgmt.msc in the Run text box and press Enter to open Computer Management. In the Storage section of the left panel, select Disk Management. In the right panel, right-click the volume you want to shrink and select Shrink Volume.
Using 3rd party software like the free version AOMEI Partition Assistant you should be able to extend D or G into that unallocated space. Otherwise you can just create a new partition on that unallocated space. To do That: Right click the unallocated space, choose new simple volume, accept the default size and drive letter when asked. From what I've found so far, it doesn't look like Window's Disk Management GUI supports the function to merge two non-adjacent paritions. For example, I am not able to merge the 105.94 GB of Unallocated space to C Drive; the extend volume option is greyed out. (see screenshot)
